The purpose of the NCOA database is to identify the movers in your list and update your records with their new addresses. NCOA processing searches your database for the individuals, families, and businesses that have moved and filed a change of address with the USPS® in the last 48 months. It is recommended that the National Change of Address data hygiene process be run before every campaign or, at a minimum, every quarter because people move and businesses change. This procedure is one of the easiest data hygiene process to do and will literally save you thousands in printing and postage.

mCOA
Use mCOA to find the consumers in your list who have moved in the last five years and may not have filed a change of address with the USPS. The mCOA database is a collection of address changes compiled from several sources, including magazine subscriptions, catalog houses, insurance groups, and financial institutions. Since over 20% of all movers do not file a change of address with the USPS, especially the younger generation, mCOA enables clients to identify many of these movers. We recommend using NCOA in conjunction with mCOA for the best results.
